Catching up after a fun weekend with lots of family time.
Right after I snapped this picture, the tide came in a little too strong for Cole. #momfail
One of the reasons I have transitioned to online training, is to keep a part of “me” while being a mom to these two.
As a mom, we are so used to putting others first and can sometimes lose our identity a bit. A big piece of my identity is athlete and trainer in addition to mom and wife.
I love personal training. It’s so rewarding! But, juggling the schedules of two young kids and potential clients for in-person training is unrealistic at this stage of my life.
I’d love to return to that eventually, but for now, training clients online is what works, and I truly value my online clients.
By the way, I still have a few slots open for my FINAL Elite Boot Camp of 2016 starting next Monday, August 22nd.
We took advantage of Spencer being around this weekend to head to the Evanston beach.
I don’t attempt the beach on my own. This way we can play man-to-man defense with the kids.
We met Spencer’s cousin and family there and spent up until nap time enjoying the outdoors.
We love being outside and the Chicago winters certainly make you appreciate the summer.
Spencer’s cousin built Cole a makeshift ‘bumbo’ sand seat! Too clever.
Sunday, we had friends over for a lunchtime BBQ.
When you have young kids like my friend Jess and I, we schedule events around nap and bed time.
Our little guys are 10 days apart, so we are already scheming about future play dates and little league baseball.
Simple activities but making memories.
Spencer and I also celebrated our 8 year anniversary on Tuesday! This year has flown by with a new baby and his first head coaching job. I feel like I can finally breathe again. And, I need to get Cole’s 8 month update posted before he turns 9 months. Mom life.
