But, burpees aren’t happening this year with that belly!
My family never went over the top with birthdays, so I really don’t expect or do much. The best gift was knowing Spencer could be with us all weekend, uninterrupted!
Normally, he has recruiting commitments or speaking engagements, so this was a special treat.
Above he is with the Mets’ outfielder, Curtis Granderson, a Chicago native, at an event to help end childhood hunger. Yes, I totally just dropped that name, but I love this pic!
Daddy’s home, so it’s time to bust out the Christmas Tree.
Perhaps, it was a bit of that nesting tendency to have everything in order before baby boy arrives, but mother nature decided our activities would mainly be indoors.

Cooper is the best blanket, right?
To avoid cabin fever, we did get out to build a snowman and let Jada burn some energy in the indoor athletic facilities on campus. Spencer took her to another men’s basketball game as well, so I could do more online programming.
I love that they have special daddy-daughter dates!
For me, it’s the little things. I value memories over materials.
So, here’s to making many more memories!
