Well, it’s been a whirlwind around here to say the least, but let’s catch up! Here’s my 26th week of pregnancy update.
About 2 lbs and +9 in. long.
Boy! Gender reveal HERE.
I think +15 lbs. or so. Baby boy is gaining 6 oz. per week, so I’m packing it on too.
It is quite literally a button, and totally visible under my shirts. Oy.
His movement is fairly predictable, usually when I’ve just eaten or am stationary. And, I’m sure many moms and moms-to-be can relate to how reassuring it is to feel that movement.
While my pace has slowed considerably, my workouts are still going strong. I may term them “prenatal workouts”, but at this point, I think anyone can benefit from them.
Here’s a recent example of workout that targets your core, shoulders, and glutes.
I still like to snack, but protein has continued to be a staple. I even craved it in the first trimester, just like I did with Jada.
I was one of the lucky ones and have not experienced pregnancy nausea (or excessive fatigue), so my pregnancy diet is not that much different from how I’d normally eat.
Protein bars have been a saving grace. We love the snack size CLIF Builder’s bars with 10g of protein and only 140 calories.
Before bed, I have always read to relax. Now, it helps me unwind and not think about the house to do list quite as much (and it’s a lonnnnng one). Plus, time with these guys is more important than a list, right?
Other than frequent bathroom breaks, it’s been decent.
She talks to baby brother and feels mommy’s tummy (so cute). Although, I have to remind her not to jump on me!
This sort of jumping is okay though!
I’m looking forward to purchasing some baby boy clothes and adding simple touches to the nursery. We had a gender neutral nursery for Jada, but I might a handful of baseball inspired touches. If you follow me on Pinterest, you can see I’ve pinned a couple ideas!
