Second Trimester Fitness
The warm weather helps me SO MUCH this pregnancy which may be surprising when most pregnant women are sensitive to the higher temperatures. However, when it’s sunny out, I’m more motivated to be active with my toddler. Although, I doubt I’d feel the same if I was 9 months pregnant!
Accordingly, here is the latest WOD.
This one was a bit longer (over 20 minutes) than most I do and challenging! Here is a video demo of movements.
Working Out with Kids
At just over 2 years old, Jada is pretty good about entertaining herself during a workout. Play doh helps too.
More often, she likes to participate with mommy!
The primary movement I’d beware of is the kettlebell swings. I had my back to a wall with Jada in front of me at a distance, so I could stop with ample time if/when she came sprinting at me.
For a good portion of this workout, she was just outside the garage watching the nearby construction with her Teddy Bear (two of her very favorite things).
She loved doing box jumps with me. Her narration is pretty hilarious in this video!
Because I’m pregnant, it’s also important to keep my core temperature in mind on hot days.
Cooper is excellent at regulating that for me.
