Many of you reading this blog are likely aware of the benefits of compression clothing. Today, I get to review items from some of the best in the business: SKINS. But, before the review, here’s the outdoor workout.
I did this workout while Jada played happily beside me. Mom win!
- 10 burpees
- 10 push-ups
- 10 bench step-ups (each leg)
I even got a High 5!
For push-ups, you can modify to incline push-ups on the bench. You can use that same modification for burpees, if needed.
*Mom tip: bring a few items to the park like buckets & shovels or sidewalk chalk to keep your little one entertained (for a few minutes at least!).
Compression clothing has been shown to speed up the recovery process and reduce muscle breakdown, so you can continue to perform at your best during workouts.
SKINS researchers have found the following in regards to wearing gradient compression gear:
- increases venous return
- reduces exercise induced muscle damage (EIMD)
- accelerates recovery processes
- removes lactic acid faster
- increases strength and power
- improves endurance
- increases muscle oxygenation
- improves body temperature control
- reduces in-flight ankle edema
I had the chance to try a couple items from SKINS. First, the Women’s Speed Crop in style This Way Up.
Check out the flattering, athletic detail. I love that this top has thicker straps for more support. Definitely designed for performance and comfort.
I tried the Women’s Compression 3/4 Tights, also in the pattern This Way Up.
Now, being that I’m 21 weeks pregnant, I’ll spare you a picture of me modeling the items! Here’s a fit model instead.
From SKINS, “SKINS gradient compression has been engineered to provide the correct level of surface pressure to specific parts of the body. This enhances circulation and gets more vital oxygen to your active muscles – boosting your power, speed and stamina.”
In summary, you can train harder and recover faster. Sounds pretty ideal to me.
Have you tried compression clothing?
