So, we are in the homestretch. Okay, not really. Pregnancy is longer than 9 months which is why we pregos speak in terms of weeks. Accordingly, here is the 22 week pregnancy update!
I had another check up & ultrasound in Chicago. I’ll be glad when these almost 3 hour commutes (one way) are over come September. Not ideal with a toddler and no family around.
About the size of a spaghetti squash at 1 lbs and 8 in. long. The ultrasound revealed a very healthy, normal developing baby. “Normal” is always a nice term to hear during pregnancy.
Will reveal soon.
Still around 10-11 lbs, not much change from the 20 week update, but belly & baby are growing.
Umm, so it’s like an eyelid. The top is starting to poke out, while the middle/bottom stay intact. Weird. I know.
He/she is active, which is the best, any mama-to-be can assure you. I can feel the baby especially at night, when I lay down to read. It’s amazing how strong the movements are at only 22 weeks.
Workouts are going well which is a both a huge stress relief and energy boost while we are moving (lots of cardboard boxes to fill) and chasing a toddler around.
Luckily, Jada seems pretty interested in working out with me or playing independently, so I can finish a workout like this one.
By the way, I allow for plenty of rest in between rounds/exercises–especially when it’s hot since most of my workouts are in the garage.
I’ve been blessed to have a nausea-free pregnancy, just like with Jada, so how I fuel for a healthy pregnancy isn’t too much different than normal eating. My mom never had morning sickness or stretch marks either. Go genetics!
Ugh, the bathroom breaks multiple times a night are annoying. I can usually get back to sleep easily, but the cooler the bedroom, the better–growing a human here!
She tells us there is a baby in mommy’s belly now, but I’m fascinated with how she’ll behave when baby actually arrives!
I had the chance to pick a dress from Shabby Apple’s PB Sands collection.
By the way, this is my most liked Instagram picture. So, you guys are telling me more dresses, eh?!
This dress is NOT a maternity dress, but made for everyday wear, and I freaking love it! And, it will adapt to my growing belly, so I foresee this being a third trimester staple.
In your opinion, any must haves for the 2nd/3rd trimester?
