Here is part II of Toddler Favorites!
Last time, we shared our favorite books–many have since been added. Today, Jada is going to share some of her favorite learning toys.
As a general rule, we try to keep things simple around here and not have an abundance of toys. Jada loves her Teddy bear and everything else is a bonus.
Jada loves building with LEGOS. After getting some for Christmas and using them every day, Spencer got her (or him) the train set to add to her collection. I see many, many LEGOS in our future!
2. Melissa & Doug Wood Puzzles
Puzzles are another favorite and the Melissa & Doug puzzles are super durable. Plus, she can learn numbers, sounds, names, etc. Basically, learning + playing are a win-win.
3. Alphabet Activity Cube
We don’t have many battery operated toys, but the VTech Alphabet Activity Cube is fabulous. My brother got this for Jada on her first birthday. It includes storage for the blocks, numbers, letters, animals, a phone, a piano, etc. Basically, a bunch of toys in one.
4. Lock & Latch Toy
Another Melissa & Doug toy. This board keeps her busy locking and unlocking, naming colors, numbers, and animals. I originally got it for long road trips, but it’s fairly large on a little lap.
Blocks in general are excellent for motor skill development and the Melissa & Doug Classic Blocks have letters, pictures, numbers on them. They will grow with her for years to come. Right now, we are working on identifying the pictures & numbers and a naming a few letters.
6. Color Wonder Coloring Books
During the frigid winter days, these books saved us! Jada loves to color and the Crayola Color Wonder markers and coloring books are mess free and safe to use anywhere.
Now that the weather is nice, we spend almost all our time outside. But, these will always be handy for rainy days!
Do you remember any of your favorite toys?
