I love Mondays.
No, I really do. I get train AND workout with an awesome group of women. They are kind enough to let me sweat WITH them.
They are my first priority though. The workout is not about me, but I like to think I help push them a little, and they certainly push me. Love it. Sunday evenings, I try to come up with new challenging workouts for us to conquer.
Here’s what we did Monday:
With a 20 minute running clock, complete as many rounds as possible (AMRAP) of the following:
- 5 single arm dumbbell snatches (each arm) 35# DB
- 10 goblet squats 35# DB
- 15 push-ups
- 1 court length of overhead walking lunges 45# plate
We completed this portion of the workout in the basketball gym area, and it was humid! Holy sweat fest!
I forgot to count how many round I got in. Fail.
We followed that workout with 5 rounds of:
- 5 pull-ups
- 5 burpees
- 15 air squats
It’s so much easier to do workouts like this with a group!
Later that day, I took Jada and Cooper for a nice, long walk to shake out the legs.
How about this view?! She loves stretching those long legs during the walks, resting her baby toes on the infant car seat adapter bar!
Girls’ Day at the Field
Jada and I joined my mom for the final home Creighton baseball game on Tuesday afternoon.
Three generations! I think Jada was eating a Mum biscuit. Silly face!
Once the sun came out, it was so beautiful. Ah, I could sit and watch baseball all day…but then there’s an active 11 month old, that reminds me those days are over.
What do you think about Mondays?
