Hold on a minute. Just trying to locate that pause button.
Jada is 10 months old?!
I’m only a week late in sharing the 10 month month update, so I’d say that’s pretty darn good.
As you can see, her legs are loooooong. She can fit into some 6-9 month onesies (shown below), but needs the length of 12 month clothing for pants. Since, we don’t do a well check until her 12 month appointment, I’m not sure how long she is. I’m guessing she weighs between 21-22 pounds.
She is so mobile and rarely content to stay put. A speed demon on all fours, she has been standing on her own without support for extended periods.
She’s even taken 2-3 steps on her own before falling, and will walk easily when we are holding her hands. I haven’t gotten a walker of any sort, because I’ve read about the accident rates and possible motor development delays (source). This is my opinion and choice, not judging others!!
I figure she is so mobile now, that she really doesn’t need much assistance (that, and the minimalist part of me wants as few baby toys/gadgets as necessary).
Shoot, how do I slow her down?!
Constantly scaling poor Cooper.
She still loves books and studies more detailed pictures. We are only using board books because someone can easily tear paper pages. Duh!
It’s the act of turning pages that’s the most fun!
Being outside is still her favorite thing which is a blessing since we are at so many baseball games!
She also is quite happy in the BOB stroller. We have the Revolution model which has a front wheel that can be locked or easily swivel making walking with Cooper easier.
Pretty much the same as last time.
She likes her food! But, she is still very interested in nursing. I’m getting nervous about the weaning part. I never give her a bottle because I’m around her all the time, so it’s just easier to breastfeed. Less time, no clean up. Any suggestions on weaning resources?
Oh, and she recently discovered volume–girl can belt out some baby babble when she wants! I love hearing her sweet voice, like she’s telling me a story (or demanding more food!).
Can we skip this one? Ha! She is money with her bedtime routine. She knows how to go to sleep–it’s the staying asleep part that gets tricky.
After battling us for 2 hours one night, Spencer took her out on the couch and let her sleep on him. She was out cold past 8:00 a.m. and that never happens.
She’s had a runny nose lately and no matter how many times I used the Nosefrida, she kept waking up. The night before that, she slept a record 10 hour straight. Solve that puzzle.
My Cooper is the most patient, loving furbaby.
Kisses from Cooper. <3
Dogs and babies are meant to be buddies. I love watching them interact. While Cooper can be indifferent (unless it’s meal time), Jada is always on high alert for him. She loves him.
