First of all, let me say that I am not a CrossFit coach. I love CrossFit and adapt WOD’s to the equipment I have available, or use an existing WOD as inspiration, hence the “inspired” part of the blog title.
I had about 20 minutes at the end of my personal training shift at the Y to complete a quick WOD with my friend. I wanted to sneak in sprints, and she wanted to do some heavy lifting.
I seriously need to incorporate heavy lifts more regularly! The 135 lbs dead lift felt really heavy. Well, something to work on, I guess!
Anyway, we paired the two in addition to kettlebell snatches and push-ups for the following WOD:
I ran most of my 400m runs at 10 mph and should’ve pushed the pace a bit more to be honest. For a demo of single arm kettlebell snatches, you can view this video. You will do a total of 20 KB snatches each round. For push-up form and modifications, check this video out.
This workout can be completed right around 20 minutes, so it’s perfect for something short and
not so sweet!
My Lucky Charm
Did you guys celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? How times have changed. I ate spinach at least; a far cry from green beer!
At least this little one looked festive (I didn’t even manage to wear green!)
She had some peas to celebrate the green holiday.
And, I finally got my hands on the newest Quest bar flavor Cookies-N-Cream thanks to the kind people at Quest Nutrition.
Love it. I have a hard time pacing myself with Quest bars. I run through them pretty fast since they satisfy my sweet tooth. How about you?
