As much as I love the holidays, my stomach isn’t always the biggest fan.
Don’t get me wrong, I love to indulge in the holiday foods. But, after a few days, I feel off–lethargic. Like I could sweat sugar? And, too many days of lounging around in my very first pair of adult footie pajamas had me craving a good workout.
So, hitting the gym for a sweaty workout was just what I needed. I met my friend for a morning WOD, and we pushed each other through this one.
It felt so good to work hard!
Special note: you can sub rowing or the elliptical for the running portion if you have an injury. It took us around 25 minutes to complete this workout considering the gym logistics (lots of busy treadmills this time of year!).
I did my first set of squats unbroken, then broke them up in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. I wanted to make sure my form wasn’t compromised, and I was still getting depth with the squats. I broke my push-ups into sets of 10 and 5.
