Based on the title of this post, I better start off with a picture of Jada if I’m discussing things that make me smile, right?
She is seriously out growing her newborn clothes now. That onesie barely fits! What the…?!
What else makes me smile lately?
Sharing walks with my mom…and Cooper and Jada, of course.
It’s so special to share this motherhood thing with my mom. Still sounds a bit surreal to say, “I am a mother.”
My mom doesn’t look like a grandmother either!
The BOB Revolution rocks for walks on uneven terrain. And, I’ll be able to fix the front wheel when I can run with it. By the way, I feel almost completely recovered and am ready for workouts. It took me 4 weeks to feel like that though, so new moms, don’t rush yourselves!
Receiving healthy snacks in the mail sure makes me smile. Especially, when getting to the store is chore!
Kind Snacks released 2 new flavors to their Nuts & Spices line.
Maple Glazed Pecan & Sea Salt – a sweet and salty combination of pecans, almonds and peanuts covered in maple syrup with a touch of sea salt and provides 5g fiber, 6g protein with only 5g of sugar.
Dark Chocolate Chili Almond – a sweet and spicy blend of mixed nuts drizzled in chocolate with a trio of cascabel, ancho and habanero chilies and provides 7g fiber, 6g protein with only 5g of sugar.
I didn’t think I’d like the Dark Chocolate Chili Almond as much as I did because I’m not a spicy fan, but it was delish! The chili did not overpower the bar in the least. And, the Maple Glazed Pecan & Sea Salt. WOW. So good! Not overly sweet but satisfied my sweet
My favorite bar is the Madagascar Vanilla Almond. Nuff said.
The bars retail for about $1.99 each, so on the higher end, but you get what you pay for. Low sugar and all natural ingredients.
Seeing Jada interested on her activity mat makes me smile! She loves the music and lights.
Once she figures out what her hands and feet can do, I think this little number will give me a few more minutes in the day and entertain her!
She is more alert every day and so dang strong. No one arm holds for this little athlete! Two hands!
Miss Zippy was one of the first blogs I read when I started blogging in October of 2010. I ALWAYS learned something from her. Runners: add her to your reading list. NOW. She’s awesome.
I also know this firsthand, because I got to hang out with her at the Runner’s World Half Marathon in October.
Elizabeth, Me, Amanda (Miss Zippy) and Robin. Such a fun weekend!
Quiet time with my Cooper makes me smile.
We snuck in a quick lunch while Jada napped. She’s not really on a schedule yet, but easing into one (I think)…will that happen? Please tell me yes! And, Cooper got a few bites of my sandwich of course.
Summer clothes make me smile!
I’d totally rock those rompers. My friend Cassi, a Stanford softball teammate, sent us this care package!
I think the clothes are adorable without being too girly and the cow–perfect for Nebraska, right? The book now sits at on side table when I’m feeding Jada so I can read, especially during those rough days.
Me, Christy, and Ashley
Christy will be competing at the CrossFit Games July 22- 28th. I wish I could be there again this year, but that’s not happening. The experience was amazing last year! I left inspired, ready to take my fitness to a new level…or become pregnant. Whoops!
A milk drunk baby makes me smile.
Now, I know I’m her mom, so I have to say she’s cute. But, seriously, that’s pretty sweet, no?
What makes you smile lately?! Please share–I don’t get out much anymore! 😉
