When I wrote the post How to Become a Personal Trainer over a year ago, I received a lot of positive feedback from readers.
Many of you have considered furthering your love for health and fitness through additional certifications, and I hope I was able to answer your questions.
As I mentioned, I went the NSCA-CSCS route because I was in involved in collegiate athletics at the time, but there are many different certifications out there depending on the population you want to work with!
I wanted to share an opportunity with those of you that have current certifications. Reebok is launching ReebokONE, the premier destination for fitness professionals to learn more, earn more, do more, and become more.
As a fitness professional, ReebokONE offers the following:
– A personal URL and professional fitness profile
– 25% Discount on Reebok Products
– 10% Commission on referred sales
– Access to premium content
Feel free to visit my profile for reference. If you decide to sign up, I’d love it if you shared my name (Jess Allen) as a referrer.
I already took advantage of that 25% discount with some online shopping.
I got Spencer some items too, the CrossFit Tri Blend Long Sleeve.
And, this PWR Reps Graphic T-Shirt.
So, if you have a fitness certification, go for it!
I may not get rich off personal training or group fitness instruction, but it sure is rewarding! Those of you in the profession already know this.
Here is a portion of my class that just finished a 6-week conditioning course. Such a FUN group!
I use TRX, med balls, sleds and battle ropes for CrossFit style workouts, twice a week. No workout is the same!
1. Are you a fitness professional or thinking about a certification? If so, which one?
2. Did you sign up for the CrossFit Open? (I’m in the prenatal division–kidding!)
