So, I have to admit, finally, I’m tired.
All the pregnancy resources tell you that the second trimester is the best: good energy, no sickness, manageable weight gain. The third trimester, those same resources tell you to prepare to be uncomfortable and experience more fatigue.
At 29 weeks, I’ve felt blessed to have such a pleasant pregnancy thus far: no nausea and good energy. But, I do feel like I need more rest now.
Time to listen to my body.
Cooper and I took advantage of some sunny days last week for a couple wogs [jog +waddle]. I can’t wait till it is Spring for good here. Love the sun & energy!
But, I do feel like I need a belly support belt for running now. When I started wogging, I was fine, but then it just didn’t feel right…any suggestions?
We take long walks daily, and those are completely comfortable. Cooper’s philosophy on life and sticks: Go Big or Go Home.
My next doctor’s appointment is Monday, so I will know if I have gained–I certainly feel like I have! But, like I mentioned before, my doctor’s not concerned with my weight gain as long as I’m putting on the lbs.
How am I feeling?
I’m feeling well but experiencing a bit more fatigue. No varicose veins or swelling (aside from that basketball under my shirt!). No cankles…yet! I can see my feet and legs but know that can change soon!
17 inches and just under 3 lbs. comparable to a small cabbage. She’s moving so much more now and her movements are much more prominent. Last night, I felt her arms or legs–something hard versus just a kick. So unreal!! She likes to move most when I lie on my left side, especially at night. The reason she is moving more is because she is gaining fat to smooth out that wrinkled skin which equates to more energy.
Cravings: dairy again. Lots of yogurt, string cheese, and cottage cheese. Peanut butter is a staple, so Cooper reaps the benefits of licking an empty jar. Ohhh, and avocados. Hmmm, sounds like healthy fat is making up my diet lately…
Ummm, yeah. It’s pretty much flat, but looks like it’s ready to pop! Can I cover it with a band-aid when it does?
Still teaching classes, strength training and wogging. I’m implementing more modifications for myself when movements don’t feel comfortable. I’m also using the talk test when teaching to pace myself.
No swelling, so it comes on an off for now, and I take it off quite a bit for work.
Not yet…crossing fingers. Hoping genetics work in my favor on this one. Thanks mom!
Recent baby purchases:
Nothing lately. But, I’m pinning baby must-haves to my Baby board, then transferring those to my Target & Babies-R-Us registries. My friends are throwing me a shower on April 13th, so I need to get that stuff in order. 😉
