Many of us arrived Thursday afternoon/evening, so we had the chance to eat dinner together before our Reebok Fitness Experience on Friday.

Friday morning, a portion of the FitFluential group rode the shuttle to Reebok HQ for a day full of activities. I think we were excited-BIG smiles below!
Looks like the Play Dry Jacket is a favorite among the women. I know I wear the heck out of mine!

And, the RealFlex Fusion TR shoes were a wardrobe staple too.
Reebok provided a light breakfast before our WOD [workout of the day] at Reebok CrossFit ONE. You guys already saw how much fun we had there!
We had the pleasure of listening to a presentation regarding Reebok’s future mission and purpose. Let me just tell you, upon entering Reebok HQ, there is a sense of energy and inspiration.

Reebok is truly engaging their employees in fitness (they have over 1,000 at HQ). Employees have access to the fitness center above, Reebok CrossFit ONE, an outdoor track, and some of the most stylish active wear I’ve seen in a while!
Now, I don’t have quite as many photos to share of our presentations because many took place in rooms displaying 2013 Reebok products. Be prepared to drool. The lines of clothing & shoes include include dynamic colors, patterns, and styles making them ideal for inside or outside the gym. Impressed to say the least.
We spoke candidly with some of Reebok’s product designers and were welcomed to ask questions throughout.
Lunch & Focus Group
Next, the men and women separated for lunch and a focus group discussion.
How about that healthy spread? Note the bottom right corner: Paleo cookies. Let’s just say I had my fair share (and maybe someone else’s too!).
While we dined, Reebok product designer, Meghan Kennedy, introduced several apparel lines for 2013 including my favorite, CrossFit.
Again, no pictures, so you’ll have to take my word for it. We had the chance to give feedback on fitness apparel that we like and don’t like. For example, the padded sports bra: love it or hate it? My fellow FitFluential ambassadors chimed in with opinions-smart ladies. Smaller chested women seemed to prefer a sports bra or tank top with padding, those with larger chests find it unnecessary.
I select my sports bra based on activity. If I’m doing a heavy strength training day, then I don’t need the most supportive bra. However, if double-unders or running is involved in a WOD, you better believe I will have the girls secured!
We all agreed that a thick waistband is preferable and more flattering. Also discussed were sleeve and pant leg length. I’m 5′ 8″ and have longish legs and arms, so finding long-sleeves and pants that properly fit can be challenging.
Reebok really listened to our opinions, and we felt they are expanding and developing their fitness apparel in all areas, not just CrossFit.
It’s versatile so it can be used for running (under 7 miles), heavy lifting, box jumps, rope climbs, etc. I own a pair of nanos and love them for those very reasons.
I was anxious to hear more about their running shoes though. I have not tried Reebok running shoes, but I like what I saw and can’t wait to try a 2013 product for some miles.
Transitioning to a run seemed like the right thing to do, so a portion of us hit the Reebok campus for some miles with Patrick Joyce, senior manager of running sports marketing, and super talented runner.
We did a warm-up mile, then completed sprints for the next mile.

For the sprints, we ran in a single file line with the last person sprinting to the front of the line, then repeat.
To end the day, we had a chance to shop at the Reebok store.
We were provided with a generous gift card, so I focused on the men’s section to get Coach outfitted for CrossFit. He will be modeling the goods!
As if this day wasn’t enough, Reebok provided us with:
I love the CrossFit line, but I’m also excited about the many directions Reebok will be going to offer fantastic clothing for all types of fitness avenues.
I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and even more proud to work with and represent Reebok in the future. From the candid discussions, to the WOD, to the run, to the presentations, I felt welcomed and embraced throughout my experience.
1. What feature is a must for you in fitness apparel (es: thumb holes, long fit, built-in bra, waistband)?
2. What is a deal breaker for some fitness apparel?
