Let’s start the week off with a new workout! This one is a bit more challenging than previous workouts, but I talk through plenty of modifications. So, try it regardless of where YOU are in your fitness journey!
I really wish I had worn these shoes when I shot the video…
I exchanged a too-small pair of Reebok nanos that I received on my trip with FitFluential to the CrossFit Games and hoped for a bright color. Bright enough for you?
Back to the workout. As stated, this is a TOTAL BODY TABATA. That means we are working everything, so this workout will be plenty for the day (see video). Set your timer for 20:10 x 8.
In the video below, I discuss the mechanics of each move and modifications as well. You can skip ahead to 3:20 to see the workout in action.
With 5 moves of 4 minutes each, this workout will take you over 20 minutes. Be sure to take a short break (30-60 secs) in between exercises so you can keep your intensity high throughout the workout.
I made my Pumpkin Protein Muffin for a post-workout snack. It’s a quick breakfast option too.
This time I used GNC 100% whey protein instead of Total Lean 25. They work equally well!
While I had the whey protein powder out, I mixed up a batch of no bake protein bars too.
Back to the PINK nanos. I wore them to teach class and have never received so many compliments on shoes before!
These are seriously comfortable, all-purpose shoes. There’s enough cushion for running but you still feel grounded for strength moves. If you’re thinking about a minimalist shoe, you may want to consider the nano.
LIVE LEAN CHALLENGE (Oct. 22-Nov. 5th)
Lastly, I’m really excited about a 2 week challenge starting next week! Let’s head into the holiday season prepared to stay healthy and fit!
GNC will be giving away a 1 month supply of the ENTIRE GenetixHD line plus a Total Lean 25 protein powder to 5 WINNERS! Check back Monday, October 22nd and participate in the 2 week challenge for your chance to win! I will be sharing lean living tips daily. Follow the hashtag #LiveLeanGNC on twitter and instagram!
