The GNC Fall Workout Series is underway and I will be sharing workouts and video demos through the end of the year.
Do you see Cooper in the background? He likes to photobomb me. In fact, I think I need to create a Cooper WOD. What do you think? It will likely involve naps and peanut butter.
Last week, I shared GNC Get Strong & Lean Workout. This week we are focusing on power and balance.
You will perform each exercise for 20 seconds with a 10 second recovery before moving to the next. 3 rounds.
A short workout of this nature can be combined with another form of exercise like running or cycling. Or, you can increase the time of the intervals for a more intense workout. You should never feel the need to spend hours in the gym.
Coach and I fuel with our favorites from GNC before a workout or CrossFit WOD.
Coach likes the BCAA 5000 (supplying crucial amino acids) drinking it on the way to CrossFit before a 5 or 6 a.m. WOD. His schedule is jam packed with fall practice, so these are the only times he can get to. I’m so proud of him for continuing to work hard and get after it!
I like to drink ProSculpt (a thermogenic with an amino acid blend) before any workout involving a strength training component like CrossFit or my Circuit Training Classes. I still prefer the Fruit Punch flavor, but there is also Blue Raspberry.
You can see the thick waistband is forgiving on your midsection. Built in briefs and a stretch to the material make for functional shorts. With the amount of squats I do in my classes and at CrossFit, I don’t have to worry about splitting a seam!
The tank top and sports bra are from the Reebok Play Dry fitness line. Bright colors for the fall.
My shoes are the RealFlex CrossFit Nanos in tin grey and black. Although, I have my eyes on the yellow ones! I like to use these for many of my strength based WOD’s although they are plenty flexible for running (and moving).
Yeah, you can sort of see the built in briefs, huh? Oh, well. Less laundry to do?
And, because my posts are always better with more Cooper, here is a picture of my friend’s son loving on Cooper.
Do you like built-in briefs in your shorts?
What do you eat/drink before a workout? How about after?
