My GNC Fall Series is in its third workout. And, these workouts are designed for ALL fitness levels with the intention of being fast, intense and effective! Modifications are provided for beginners.
I hope you are are enjoying the options, and I always appreciate your constructive criticism to improve upon each one!
Obviously, Cooper approves all my workouts. Note the jump rope? He was working on double unders. Show-off.
One of my favorite pieces of equipment for HIIT workouts, besides my Gymboss Timer, is the jump rope. It’s light, travels easily, and bumps that heart rate up throughout a workout.
For this workout, we will alternate strength moves with jump rope intervals. Something I like to do with my HIIT style classes, keeping our heart rate elevated (safely) the whole time.
We’re going to trick our body into working harder than it thinks it can. The change in movements allows different muscles to work and while others recover. And, jump roping is a lower impact activity.
Set your GymBoss Timer to 30:30 second intervals for 8 rounds.
Check out Cooper’s cameo 2:01 into the video.

This workout calls for 5 rounds which is a total of 20 minutes of work. Give yourself a break in between rounds: 30-60 seconds. Will you give it a go?!
My workout wardrobe entails Reebok’s Seamless Long Bra Tank, CrossFit board shorts, and Real Flex shoes. The long bra tank has a built in bra, but I also wore the CrossFit bra for added support while jump roping. No need for extra bouncing.
Before a workout like this, or many of my HIIT classes, I opt to take Meta-Ignite for its thermogenic (fat metabolism) properties, high energy, and increased workout stamina.
I personally do not experience negative side affects with this product and DOMINATE my higher intensity workouts with it. You can read more about my review of the GenetixHD line here.
I also wanted to share GNC’s new line of Probiotics.
Probiotic products help replenish the “good” bacteria in our guts aiding in digestion and immune support.
My favorite product is the Ultra 5 Probiotic Complex with Fiber.
Once Spencer has a break from fall season, he is going to guest post on his training and supplement regime. He has been dedicated to fueling properly and CrossFitting throughout the summer and fall.
Spencer typically drinks a BEAST of a protein shake at night.
He combines AMP 60 banana creme with chocolate Beyond Raw Re-Feed with almond milk, a spoonful of peanut butter, and ice. Prepare yourself, this one is loaded! Of course, Coach doesn’t need to watch his caloric intake, but if you do, this combo might be on the high side. However, you are vigorously weight training, this may be right up your alley!
Do you take group classes? Why or why not?
What’s your nightly ritual or treat?
