Workout no. 5 of the GNC Summer Series comes to you from the neighborhood playground!
That’s right. We are going to use the monkey rings and a park bench to challenge ourselves.
- Hanging knees to elbows
- Bench jumps
- Decline push-ups
- Step-ups on bench
If you want to make this even more of a fat-burning workout, add a 400m run each round like Coach and I did here.
That modified version took us around 30 minutes with short rest periods in between each round. We subbed pull-ups (I did jumping ones) for the dips.
During the workout, I wore my Polar FT40 HR monitor and my heart rate stayed at +160 bpm during the moves!
We made sure to get this workout in early because of the heat warnings around the Omaha metro, but someone was having a tough time getting up…
