Last week, I committed to the Runner’s World Run Streak. It starts today and runs (pun intended) through July 4th. 38 days of running at least 1 mile each day. Are you in?
This is a great way to jump-start your summer fitness.
I spent the weekend in Seattle with Coach. It was a ‘business trip’ for him and a nice break from small-town life for me.
Thursday night, we attended a fundraiser which meant dressing up. My mom found this skirt at Goodwill & I had it tailored.
Fundraisers can be stuffy, but this event was fun and the food was surprisingly delicious.
I gave my steak to Coach, because I no longer eat beef or pork.
And, I wish I would’ve captured pictures of the appetizers: spring rolls, crab cakes, kabobs. YUM!
Our hotel had a great gym, so get ready for some circuit workouts this week!

The treadmills were ultra nice with individual TV’s. But, I wanted to incorporate strength training as well, so I meshed the two!
5 rounds
- 800m run
- 15 push-ups on 15 lbs. dumb bells with row and spiderman knee tuck
- 20 cross back lunges with knee tucks holding dumb bell
- 20 plank knee tucks on stability ball
This circuit kept my heart rate up and targeted core as well. I was a sweaty mess! The 3rd round of push-ups became pretty challenging.
Coach completed an intense CrossFit WOD with double-unders and push-presses. That shirt was originally light-grey.
Being on the west side of the state means sushi HAD to happen too.
