Running from an Angel Half Marathon is a couple months away, and Spencer and I have started our official training.
Sunday: GLOW RUN for 3.1 miles. Check out more pics HERE.
Monday: 4 mi in 34 minutes for an 8:30 pace! We ran on a flat trail in 32 degrees which probably helped our pace.
Tuesday: Cross-training. Spencer lifted weights after baseball conditioning. I walked/jogged with Cooper a.m. and p.m. and did push-ups, planks and med ball abs.
Wednesday: 4.13 mi total. The plan called for two, 1 mile repeats. So, we jogged to the middle school track which involved some heavy hill training and did our first mile in 7:39, jogged for 2 min, and ran our second mi in 7:35. Then, we jogged back to the house, ending with a hill. We felt very challenged during this workout.
Thursday: Thank you Veteran’s! I got to sleep in and then took Coop for a walk. I followed this up with push-ups, planks, med ball squats, and Russian twists. During marathon training, I completely neglected resistance training and want my arms and abs to tone up.
Friday: Rest day. (duh, I still will walk Cooper twice!)
Saturday: 2 mi at race pace with a 15 min warm-up
Sunday: 5 mi easy run
